SES Interview Preparation Workshops
Price: $3,000 to $9,000
Depending on course length
Of all the different parts of the SES application and hiring process, the interview seems to cause people the most stress. This can be the most important interview of your career, so people struggle to collect and articulate their thoughts, while remaining calm and confident during the interview.
Over the past few decades, we have gathered a plethora of feedback from SES applicants about their experiences in SES interviews- what went well, what worked, and what did not!
We have also coached many groups and individuals on SES interview prep, from broad ranging agencies such as Department of Treasury, Department of Veterans Affairs, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Justice, Department of the Army, Air Force Research Laboratories, and NASA.
Even while teaching others, here at CareerPro Global we are always learning from them too, and we have assimilated all of our hard-won expertise into ½ day and full day SES interview prep workshops.
The half day version of this class includes up to 15 students, and instruction on:

- What kinds of questions to expect
- How to use the Challenge-Context-Action-Results (CCAR) format to answer behavior-based questions in a dynamic and effective way
- How to best prepare to discuss each of the five ECQs
- What other questions are they likely to ask?
- What to do in the weeks leading up to the interview
- How to present oneself on an interpersonal level during the interview
- Students receive valuable tools such as an Interview Preparation Worksheet and Interview Tips Guide
*Note: ½ day class is only available virtually, unless coupled with another in-person full day class, such as our ECQ Best Practices Workshops.
The full day version includes all of the above, plus 1/2 day of mock interview training where students will:
- Spend time in small breakout groups
- Serve as the interviewee, and receive constructive feedback about their performance, along with recommendations for improvement
- Serve as an interview panel member
- Learn experientially by practicing their own interview skills, observing others being interviewed, hearing the feedback everyone receives, and discussing it all as a group
