In January, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) released this memo outlining changes to the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs). This is the first update in 15 years, and is currently slated to go into effect July 2025.
We have closely reviewed the memo, and found that OPM renamed two of the ECQs, and then made most of the changes to the sub competencies. For instance, some competencies were slightly renamed, some removed, and five new ones were added (which are quite similar to the existing ones).
We have modified our materials to reflect the changes, and are now waiting for OPM to release some final details. We are poised to support you as soon as the new framework goes into effect, or at least gets closer.
