Bill retired from the Montana Air National Guard in 2017 with 26 years of honorable service to the nation. Nearly 20 years of his career was spent in the construction field with both Civil Engineering and RED HORSE construction units. He also has experience as a First Sergeant (Human Resources/personnel), Training Manager, and Chaplain Assistant. Bill has deployed overseas twice, once to Kuwait from 2002-2003 and Iraq from 2005-2006 with the 219th RED HORSE Squadron. As a Field Ordering Officer, he was responsible for procurement of materials, tools, and supplies from the local economy, which included the heart of Baghdad, where he developed strong relationships with local vendors that were critical to mission accomplishment.

Bill recently spent nearly a decade specializing in resource support and networking for military families around the world so he understands the nuances of transition for military members from military to civilian life. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an Associate’s degree in Management Accounting. He has 17 years of retail experience where he learned the fine (and often forgotten) art of customer service. In total, he has nearly 30 years of public facing business and relationship-building experience and willingly spent a year in the humbling position of car salesman for the largest pre-owned car dealership in his hometown.

Bill has a passion for helping veterans with the transition process from active service to the civilian sector, as this can be a challenging and nerve-racking time in life, especially for those who may know little else outside the military.
